JAB Anstoetz & MATERIALO: Texturpartnership with future

JAB Anstoetz is one of Europe’s most renowned textile publishers – and has been a texture partner of MATERIALO from the very beginning. In this interview, Lars Puschmann, Head of Sales at JAB, explains why the platform is strategically important for the company as well as for interior decorators – and why the collaboration will become even more important in the future.

Quick Interview with Lars Puschmann – Head of Sales, JAB Anstoetz Group

VEEUZE:
Mr. Puschmann, JAB has been a texture partner on Materialo from the very beginning – why?

Lars Puschmann:
We wanted to embrace digitalization early on. Materialo approached us back then, and we were immediately convinced: As the market leader in upholstery fabrics and floor coverings, it was clear that we wanted to be part of such an industry solution.

VEEUZE:
Starting this summer, all JAB collections will be digitally available – how does that benefit retailers?

Lars Puschmann:
Our retailers rarely have all fabrics on hand. With Materialo, they can access our entire range digitally – that significantly expands their sample selection and supports their consultations.

VEEUZE:
Materialo features various manufacturers and trades – what’s the advantage of that?

Lars Puschmann:
Bundling makes things easier: one interface, all our brands, and all our product categories. That saves onboarding time, is efficient, and supports customer consultations far better than simply sampling without visualizing the product in a room setting.

VEEUZE:
How important is data accuracy in this context?

Lars Puschmann:
Extremely important. Outdated collections lead to frustration during consultations. Up-to-date data is essential – otherwise, credibility with customers suffers.

VEEUZE:
Does Materialo also enhance retailers’ digital presence?

Lars Puschmann:
Absolutely. Many retailers integrate it into their websites – as a digital shop window that attracts attention. Especially since our products can’t always be showcased in premium retail locations, this is essential.

VEEUZE:
Speaking of AI and space planning – is it an opportunity or just a gimmick?

Lars Puschmann:
Definitely an opportunity. Even traditional craftsmanship can present itself in a modern way – AI creates new experiences and shows that we’re moving with the times.

VEEUZE:
And from a strategic perspective – how important is Materialo for JAB?

Lars Puschmann:
Very important. We reach more end customers digitally and increase the visibility of our products – exactly what we need in a world of changing shopping habits.

VEEUZE:
Thank you for the interview, Mr. Puschmann – and continued success with JAB Anstoetz!

Lars Puschmann:
Thank you – and best wishes from Bielefeld!
