For flooring products, our AI tool was previously limited to room-filling installation. In the extended version, fitted carpets and runners with selectable formats can now be individually configured and freely positioned in the room photo.
Where in the room does a rug look best? Without technical assistance, it is up to the customer’s imagination to determine the location of the rug in the desired room and visualize it in their mind’s eye. The format, color combinations and size of a rug to match the existing interior are also unanswered questions.
The new configurator for fitted carpets offers a way to adapt any carpet format to your own room situation and immediately visualize possible locations in your own room. Room-filling and fitted carpet products can be presented in equal measure. The room objects and the original light/shadow situation are retained – as usual with the AI tool – and thus reproduce the carpets realistically.
In the first step, customers select the type of fitted carpet and then configure the pattern, colors and dimensions. Customers can see each configuration step directly in the preview.
By transferring the selection to the room photo, the customer places the carpet in the room photo. Movements to the right and left as well as forwards into the foreground or backwards into the depth of the room are possible. When moving forwards and backwards, the view is adjusted in perspective. With the help of a virtual circle, the carpet can be rotated around the center and positioned exactly.
